Why Hire Online Filipino Workers?

Would it be worth it to hire online freelance workers from the Philippines? Even Google and Yahoo does not encourage telecommuting anymore. Why should I if the gurus have tested it and seen it does not work?

My observation all these years is: Not all people with an internet connection can work at home. However, there is a very small percent of people who DO thrive, perform well and even enjoy working for you, regardless of physical location.

Geek fix - Tron 1982

Having my geek fix since the boys are out.

Am watching Tron, the 1982 version from Youtube.  Yeah, I wanna be ready just in case I decide to watch the 2010 version.



The musical scoring is weird, weirder than any 1980's movie.  The others elements of the movie, like crappy story and okay backlighting effects, I don't mind so much since the movie is old anyways.  I guess it was great  25 yrs ago.

Now I'm moving on to my nerd fix.  Have this book about the life of Stephen Hawking.  Great read.  I don't pretend to know so much about these things.  I just want to try and learn a bit, looks pretty interesting.   Will tell you about it next time if you like.  (Leave a comment to remind me.)
